Amex Construction is looking for Dedicated, safety-minded construction laborers.
Applicant will be able to lift up to 70lbs, dig pits, trenches & foundations, perform light carpentry work and be willing to assist machine operators. Able to safely navigate a construction job site terrain while wearing proper safety equipment. Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects. Candidate should be able to perform tasks involving hand and power tools.
As this position is working mostly outside, candidate must be willing to work in unfavorable weather conditions such as rain, snow or hot days. Exception to weather conditions deemed unsafe will be determined by the supervisor on the job site. Candidate will be exposed to load noise, dirt, dust, and foul odors. Applicant may also be exposed to hazards of chemicals, open pits, water, and various types of equipment. Must be willing to perform other tasks involving general housekeeping.
Hours
General start times are to report and be ready for work at 7am and generally the day ends at 3:30pm unless otherwise noted by your supervisor.
Also, must be able and willing to work on Saturdays when needed as deemed by Customer & Supervisor.
Qualified Canidates’s should have.
High-school diploma or GED equivalent
Ma 2A/1C hoisting license preferred.
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation -Required.
Dot medical card- Required
Osha 10- or 30-hour training -Required.
NFPA Hotworks Certification- Prefered
Valid Commercial driver’s license class B or A- Preferred
Previous Site work experience preferred but we will train the right candidate.
Ability to work as a cohesive part of a crew
Ability to follow instruction & work independently
