Amex Construction is looking for Licensed, dedicated, safety-minded heavy equipment operators.
Responsibilities:
Safe and proficient operation of heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, skid steers and loaders
Experience reading plans and specifications, and setting up grade for excavation and grading work
Managing and supervising crews of 1-3 laborers, ensuring they are working efficiently and following safety protocols
Scheduling equipment maintenance and repairs, ensuring that all equipment is in proper working order
Ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Coordinating with project managers and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed according to specifications
Maintaining accurate records of equipment usage, project progress, and personnel hours
Communicating with clients and vendors to provide project updates and address any concerns
Ensuring that all safety protocols and regulations are being followed on the job site
Hours
General start times are to report and be ready for work at 7am and generally the day ends at 3:30pm unless otherwise noted by your supervisor.
Also, must be able and willing to work on Saturdays when needed as deemed by Customer & Supervisor.
Qualified Canidates’s should have.
High-school diploma or GED equivalent
Ma 2A/1C hoisting license required
Ma 2a con ed Preferred
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation -Required.
DOT medical card- Required
Osha 10 -Required.
OSHA 30- preferred
Valid Commercial driver’s license class B or A- Preferred
Previous excavating or construction site work experience preferred but we will train the right candidate.
Strong communication skills to effectively manage crews
Ability to read & interpret plans & specifications
Basic math skills & the ability to perform calculations related to excavating
Proven ability to respond under pressure with the utmost professionalism
