WHAT'S NEW
Amex Construction has been awarded the expansion of the Campbell’s Soup World Headquarters. The project consists of a new LEED Certified Employee Services Building, as well as new parking lots for the employees. Amex has been contracted to do all the grading, excavation, site utilities, site concrete, and asphalt paving. Amex will be moving over 20,000 yards of earth, installing over 4,000 feet of storm piping, and creating over 6 acres of new parking area. This is an opportunity for Amex to show our client and others in the industry our capabilities. Currently we have completed the first stages of clearing and demolition of the existing parking lots. We have also cut and filled the site in preparation of the new building. Please check back for updates on our progress as we begin the utility installation phase of the project.
Amex Construction is finishing its first season of Asphalt Paving. In the past our Asphalt Paving work was subcontracted to other companies, but as our company expanded we saw a need to have a full time crew of our own in order to lower costs and meet tight schedules. The crew led by asphalt foreman Paul Eisenhardt has come together this season and done an excellent job. They have placed over 14,000 tons of asphalt material, quite a task for a crew’s first season. Amex hopes that the 2009 season will be equally successful if not better.
